The Truth Shall Set You Free…It might piss you off first, but it will set you free.

Sarah Palin and Her New Gal Pal Carly Fiorina

Posted by politicalmonkey2010 on May 7, 2010

This woman is just fascinating to watch, a bit scary, but none the less fascinating.  It seems lately that  Sarah is out in force supporting the females of the political world.  First there was Michele Bachman, and now Carly Fiorina, the former head of HP who is involved in a contested senate race in California.  Sarah irked some Tea Party supporters by not endorsing the “Tea Party Candidate” the conservative Chuck DeVore’s who was a Tea Partier long before Sarah got involved…but I digress.

So why did Sarah endorse Carly?  Was it a brilliant political move?  Strategy involved?  Or perhaps it was a more self serving interest?  I vote self serving.  I think Sarah just got herself a new wealthy gal pal, and it is nice to have friends with  money and power, never know when they will come in handy…and DeVore is fairly certain to lose, we all want to be on the side of a winner don’t we Sarah?

As I said in an earlier post, if  Sarah endorses somebody I am automatically suspicious…..even the rookie Senator Scott Brown caught on when he was asked to make a joint appearance with Sarah in Ma. for the Tea Party Rally, the good Senator declined, saying he had lots of work to do in Washington.  Whether he had lots of work or not, it was a damn smart move, distance is a good thing when it comes to Sarah Palin.

So who is Carly Fiorina?  Here’s a good video that sums it up…

But let’s be a bit more serious…

When Fiorina resigned from HP this is what the BBC reported:

Carly Fiorina, the chairman and chief executive of Hewlett-Packard, has resigned.

Ms Fiorina, one of America’s most powerful businesswomen, said she was leaving after a dispute with the company’s board over future strategy.

The company has struggled to remain profitable since Ms Fiorina pushed through a controversial merger with rival Compaq in 2002.

Investors cheered Ms Fiorina’s exit, HP’s shares rising 10%.

They stayed sharply higher all day, closing up nearly 7%.

Might be worth a look at this video…BBC interviewing Fiorina on Sarah Palin when she was one of McCain’s senior advisors  during the campaign….http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/justinwebb/2008/09/carly_fiorina_on_sarah_palin.html
